Fourteen people have been confirmed dead in a
motor accident at Gomoa Mprumeim on the Apam Junction-Winneba Highway
late Sunday afternoon after a head-on collision involving a trailer.
An Articulator Trailer with registration number GE 3282-X from Accra-Mankessim section of the road crashed with a Benz Sprinter with registration GM 1129-16 travelling from the opposite direction to Accra.
The deceased, made up of twelve females and two males died on the spot as the Police from the Apam District Command confirm further details about the victims.
Staff Officer at the Motor, Traffic and Transport Department, DSP Emmanuel Adu Boahene who confirmed the accident has asked motorists plying that route to exercise restraint as police work to clear traffic on that stretch.
