Samira Bawumia fetes Muslim inmates at Nsawam prisons

It was all joy for the Muslim inmates at the Nsawam medium security prison when a delegation from the office of wife of vice president, Hajia Samira Bawumia donated dozens of bags of rice and other food items to Muslims doing time at the correctional facility.

The donation is to afford the Muslim inmates the opportunity to also share in the Eid ul fitr celebration on Monday after 30 days of fasting in prison.

Director of Operations at the office of the Second Lady, Alhaji Aminu Gariba spoke with News’ Latif Iddris said the donation to to show love to people and the less privilege as they celebrate Eid ul fitr.

He added that the donation was its contribution towards helping Muslim inmates to live well while in detention.

Alhaji Aminu Gariba said the office of the Second Lady will continue to donate to the Nsawam prisons as part of its corporate social responsibility.
