Elmina Sharks appoint Yaw Acheampong as coach

Ghana Premier League side, Elmina Sharks, have appointed Yaw Acheampong as interim coach following the sacking of Kwabena Amissah.

The club’s owner, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, asked Amissah who has been with the team for three seasons to proceed on leave due to the club’s poor display in the ongoing campaign.

Acheampong official job will start on Sunday as his side will host Hearts of Oak in a Premier League fixture.

The former Ashanti Gold gaffer will be assisted by former Liberty Professionals assistant coach Felix Aboagye.

The Elmina giants are 12th on the log sheet with 21 points.
