How Ghanaians reacted to Asamoah Gyan’s penalty miss on social media

Gyan Penalty
Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan, ended his five-year self imposed ‘penalty’ exile after missing from the spot in Ghana’s 2-1 defeat to USA on Saturday at the Pratt and Whitney Stadium.

Ghana who were trailing 1-0, were awarded a penalty on the stroke of half time after Frank Acheampong was brought down in the box.

Gyan stepped forward for the kick but his low strike was saved by Brad Guzan.

The former Sunderland man, however, in the second half erased his earlier mess after he scored a sumptuous free-kick, after the Yankees had taken a two-goal lead.

Below are some of the reactions of Ghanaian fans on Twitter after Gyan’s penalty miss.
