Another Ivorian footballer Eugene Koffi Kouame dies on the pitch

Another tragic news coming from Abidjan confirmed the demise of footballer Eugene Kouame Koffi whiles playing football with his colleagues. The 29 year old reportedly collapsed on the pitch in a football match staged at the Kuomassi Stadium in South Abidjan.

The Turkey based footballer, whose demise follows recent tragic death of compatriot Sheik Ishmeal Tiote, was playing a ceremonial match with his friends in Abidjan when he met his untimely death. The player collapsed on the pitch and was rushed to the nearby hospital only to be confirmed dead on arrival.

According to a report on Sokkaeast, the Egirdirspor midfielder has suffered heart attack whiles on the pitch, which led to his sad demise just yesterday. Joining the likes of MV Foe, Patrick Nkeng, Sheik Ishmael Tiote and several other such sad death, what could really be the problem leading to the sudden death of African stars on the pitch?
