Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed delight with their heavy win over Sporting Gijon in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday.
Kevin Gameiro's hat-trick and a goal from Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco gave Atletico a 4-1 win over Gijon.
Ghanaian international Thomas Partey who was given his first minutes since returning from an impressive African Nations Cup, in which he was a major factor in Ghana's run to the semi-finals highlighted the team's victory over Sporting Gijon.
"We've done a good job from start to finish and I think the team deserved to win," he said
"Now the important thing is to continue adding three by three points.
He added that "Sporting played well but we knew how to win and with the work, we have done we are happy with the victory".
